Dawn M. Guthrie, PhD
Dr. Guthrie is a Professor in the Departments of Kinesiology & Physical Education and in Health Sciences at Wilfrid Laurier University in Waterloo, Ontario, Canada. Dr. Guthrie has a PhD in Health Studies and Gerontology and an MSc in Epidemiology. Her research focuses on evaluating health and social services for older persons and those with disabilities living in the community. She led the development of the Deafblind Supplement to the interRAI Community Health Assessment and was involved in developing risk adjustment strategies for the interRAI home care quality indicators. Her other research interests include palliative care and developing quality indicators in this field, as well as understanding the needs and abilities of older adults with sensory losses and/or cognitive impairment.
