Henriëtte van der Roest, PhD
Dr. Henriëtte van der Roest is employed by the VU University medical center (VUmc) of Amsterdam since 2005, where she currently works as senior researcher at the Department of General Practice and Elderly Care Medicine. In addition, she works as senior researcher at ZorgDNA since 2012, ZorgDNA is a private research company specialised in patient satisfaction research in Dutch health care settings, with a focus on long-term care.
Her main research interests originate in long-term care issues regarding the assessment and comparison of quality of care, and costs of care, improvement of care outcomes, including patient perspectives, and dementia care, with a special interest in psychosocial interventions and assistive technology. She has contributed to different European funded international studies as researcher and project manager.
Dr. van der Roest is member of INTERDEM (Early detection and Timely INTERvention in DEMentia) and fellow of interRAI.
