Katherine Berg, PhD, PT
Associate Professor Emerita
Dr. Berg is associate professor emerita in the Department of Physical Therapy and the Rehabilitation Sciences Institute in the Faculty of Medicine at the University of Toronto, Canada, and an adjunct associate professor at Waterloo University. Dr. Berg is a physical therapist with a PhD in epidemiology and biostatistics. Her thesis work involved the development and validation of a balance scale that is used internationally in rehabilitation and geriatrics clinical practice and research.
Dr. Berg’s research focuses on improving outcomes and quality of care through better use of health information. She is a member of the interRAI Instrument and System Development (ISD) Committee, the interRAI network of Integrated Care and Aging. She is a member of the Steering Committee within the interRAI Acute Care Network and is the lead for the Post-acute working group.
