Keita Yamauchi, MD, PhD
Dr. Yamauchi is associate professor in the Faculty of Nursing and Medical Care in the Department of Health Policy and Management, School of Medicine, Keio University, Tokyo. He received his MD and PhD from Keio University. During 2000–2001, he was honorary visiting scholar at the Centre for the Economics of Mental Health, Institute of Psychiatry, King's College, London, and Visiting Fellow at the London School of Economics and Political Science, and has continued to be an honorary senior lecturer at the Institute of Psychiatry. His research areas are health policy, psychiatric care, long-term care, and pharmacoepidemiology. He is a Fellow of interRAI. Domestically, he serves as vice-chair of the Japan interRAI Committee, which coordinates activities in Japan and has an advisory role in East Asia. He is also vice-president of the Japan MDS Society that was inaugurated in April 2002.
