Krista Mathias, PhD
Dr. Mathias is a Postdoctoral Fellow with the Centre for Forensic Behavioural Science and Justice Studies within the Department of Psychology at the University of Saskatchewan and is an Associate Fellow of interRAI. She is a member of the interRAI Network of Mental Health (iNMH) and serves on the forensic subcommittee of iNMH. Dr. Mathias holds a PhD from the University of Waterloo in Health Studies and Gerontology and a BA (Hons) in Criminal Justice from Nipissing University. Her PhD research focused on a gender-based analysis assessing the influences that predict three outcomes among forensic mental health patients in Ontario including: restriction to room (seclusion/confined to room) in forensic mental health hospitals, unaccompanied leaves from forensic mental health hospitals, and freedom of movement (FoM) among forensic inpatients.
