New Zealand is moving towards nation-wide implementation of the interRAI Home Care system, with a significant allocation of government funding announced recently.
The New Zealand Government recently announced funding to support roll-out of the interRAI Home Care and Contact Assessments across the nation. This decision builds on 5 demonstration projects completed in late 2006 and ongoing District Health Board interest and involvement. The implementation will be conducted at the DHB level. DHB’s administer public hospital and community health services at a regional level. It is anticipated that the rollout will be progressive over 4 years, with each DHB determining its own timetable.
