Doron Nassimiha, MD
Director of Geriatric-Psychiatry
After Dr. Nassimiha graduated in Medicine in 1994 at the State University of Milan, the city where he grew up, he completed his clinical training as a Resident in Internal Medicine at Beth-Israel Medical Center and as a fellow in Geriatrics at Mount Sinai Hospital in New York, New York.
He decided to move afterwards to Israel, where he was born, and after a brief working experience as a Geriatrician in acute and post- acute care, Dr. Nassimiha decided to pursue his growing interest in Mental Health by enrolling in a Residency program in Psychiatry in an accredited Community Mental Health Care Center in Tel-Aviv, affiliated with Tel-Aviv University. In the following years, he mainly focused in Geriatric-Psychiatry, and in psychoanalytically oriented psychotherapy. Dr. Nassimiha currently works as the director of an outpatient Geriatric-Psychiatry Unit and in private practice, and his areas of interest over the years were: Elderly abuse and neglect, assessment of Decision Making Capacity, and Personality Disorders in the elderly population.
