Jean-Claude Henrard, MD
Professor Henrard is currently emeritus professor of public health at Versailles University, France. Previously he was medical chief of the Center of Gerontology, Sainte Périne Hospital, in Paris and had an academic appointment at Paris René Descartes University. Previous director of the Federal Network of Research Ageing, Health, Society, his main topics of research are epidemiology of disability among older persons, and comparison of care systems and policies for older people in Europe.
He has directed or participated in several national and European research programs. He has been technical advisor of several ministries for older people and for health and was appointed as member of several technical/administrative and scientific agencies. He joined interRAI in 1995 and contributed to developing RAI use in France as a tool for researching quality of care and for improving continuity of care between different settings for older people.
